After 4 weeks I have completed the OSU Septic System Design School. It was a huge success and I learned so much I think my head is going to EXPLODE!! The class included Contractors, Engineers, Designers, Manufacture's, and Ohio Department of Health Officials. |

Septic Design School registration Offered through SETLL began on January 16th, and was filled by the end of the day. If you plan to design septic systems in Ohio this is a highly recommended Course to get started. The new Ohio septic system rules have been rescinded. Click here to learn more The New Ohio septic system rules took affect on January 1st 2007. Any Septic system with a permit before that date can install the septic system within the next year according to the old rules for their county. Any septic system that gets a permit now will have to use the new rules. If you have a lot that has a letter of approval for leach lines you will be able to install leach lines as your septic system without having the soil re-evaluated and a new septic system designed accordingly. That brings us to another question we will be Investigating in the next few months. "If you have the choice, do you install leach lines or one of the New style systems? " |

The future of leach line usage in the state of Ohio is uncertain. While the next three years you will be alloud to install leach lines if you have a letter of approval from before January 1st 2007. If you have an existing system that fails or causes a nuisance you will have to adhere to the new guidelines. |
